Try this simple, delicious Tropical Smoothie recipe from the OKOactive Kitchen… Sooo goood!!
Start with your beaker and a good, sturdy blender (a hand held blender is NOT up to the task - … I really liked that blender!..)
Add to your beaker a portion of pineapple chunks
1/4 cup of cashew nuts or almond nuts or a mixture
1/4 cup of fresh coconut (sliced)
I large banana
250ml of water
The tiniest pinch of salt (vital otherwise it’ll taste bland)
1/4 Pomegranate seeds (optional)
1 tsp ground flax (optional)
Maple syrup or cold pressed honey to taste (naughty but nice!)
Keep the banana to one side and whack all the other ingredients into the blender for about a minute
Ask yourself… ‘Did I remember the pinch of salt’?
Proceed with assurance.. Add your banana and continue to blitz for a further 20 seconds
Pour out your delicious meal-on-the go and enjoy.
